Safety Policy
Last Updated: December 10, 2025
- Safety Principles
Chunkr is an adult-only platform. Safety is based on five principles:
- User consent is mandatory.
- Harmful behaviour is not tolerated.
- User reports drive enforcement.
- Evidence is handled securely and with minimal retention.
- Urgent risks are escalated immediately.
This policy describes what we do—not what might be aspirational.
⸻
- Safety Features Provided by Chunkr
- Blocking: Blocks hide both parties from each other and disable all interactions.
- Reporting: Users can report profiles, messages, images, or behaviour. Reports allow attachments (screenshots, photos).
- Approximate Location Display: Chunkr never displays exact GPS coordinates; the map view uses an approximate radius.
- Media Moderation: All uploaded photos are subject to automated scanning and, when necessary, human review.
- Age Restriction: 18+ only. Accounts involving minors are removed immediately.
⸻
- What You Should Report Immediately
Report any of the following:
- Minors or suspected minors
- Non-consensual imagery
- Harassment, threats, or stalking
- Hate speech or targeted abuse
- Fraud, extortion, or financial scams
- Attempts to solicit money
- Attempts to obtain exact location
- Explicit content posted publicly
- Impersonation
- Self-harm or threats of harm (self or others)
- Illegal activity or content
Chunkr treats these categories with elevated priority.
⸻
- What Happens When You File a Report
4.1 Intake
Your report enters the moderation queue with attached evidence. Automated systems may prioritize high-risk categories (minors, violence, threats).
4.2 Review
Human moderators review context, screenshots, messages, and metadata where relevant.
4.3 Action
Actions may include:
- content removal;
- warning;
- feature restrictions;
- temporary suspension;
- permanent ban.
If imminent harm is detected, escalation occurs immediately (see Section 7).
4.4 Evidence Handling
- Evidence related to confirmed violations may be retained up to 2 years for safety, appeal consistency, and legal compliance.
- Evidence not tied to a violation is deleted during standard system cleanup.
- Access is restricted to authorized safety staff.
⸻
- Moderation Priorities
Top Priority (Immediate Action)
- minors
- explicit non-consensual content
- threats of violence
- attempts to reveal or triangulate another user’s location
- stalking or coercion
- revenge imagery
- credible self-harm or suicide risk
High Priority
- hate speech
- harassment
- impersonation
- fraud or extortion
- prohibited public explicit content
- patterns of repeat violations
Standard Priority
- rude or disrespectful conduct
- profile rule violations
- spam
⸻
- User Protections
6.1 Blocks
Blocks are immediate and mutual. Users cannot see or message one another.
6.2 Appeals
At this stage, Chunkr is not required to provide formal appeals. Serious enforcement outcomes are final.
6.3 No Retaliation
Retaliation for reporting—whether through new accounts, harassment, or sharing private conversations—is prohibited.
⸻
- Emergency and Imminent Harm Protocol
If we believe there is a risk of imminent serious harm, we may take steps including:
- escalating the report internally;
- attempting outreach to the user in danger;
- preserving relevant data;
- contacting law enforcement when legally permitted and appropriate.
Chunkr does not monitor all messages. Emergency escalation occurs only when detected through reports, safety signals, or visible content.
We notify users of law-enforcement disclosures unless prohibited by law or where notification itself increases risk.
⸻
- When Law Enforcement May Be Contacted
We may contact or respond to law enforcement when:
- we receive a valid legal request;
- someone is in immediate danger;
- there is evidence of a crime involving minors;
- there is a credible threat of serious harm.
See the Law Enforcement Guidelines for full details.
⸻
- Location Privacy and Safety Controls
- We never display exact coordinates.
- Approximate map placement uses a radius of at least 500 meters.
- Users attempting to triangulate or stalk others may be permanently banned.
Chunkr discourages users from sharing home addresses, workplace addresses, or any exact location in message conversations unless fully trusted.
⸻
- Off-Platform Safety
If you meet someone offline:
- choose a public location;
- tell a friend where you are going;
- arrange your own transport;
- end the interaction if something feels wrong.
Chunkr is not responsible for the actions of any user offline.
⸻
- Updates to This Safety Policy
We may update this policy to adapt to new features, risks, or laws. Continued use of Chunkr indicates acceptance of updated safety practices.
